Title of Position- Sous Chef

Job Description: Our Sous Chef will be the go-to person for the culinary staff- Second in command to the Executive Chef, working with both Restaurant Managers and Catering Managers. The person in this position will assist the Executive Chef in educating and mentoring the kitchen staff, keeping them up to date with any menu adjustments and maintaining consistent top-quality ingredients in every dish, every time. The Sous Chef will also assist the Executive Chef in adjusting the menu and adding new items especially on event menus. Maintaining a sanitary and organized kitchen will also be a top priority for the Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will be coached to further expand their career into an Executive position in the future. The Sous Chef will assume responsibilities of the Executive Chef in the event of their absence. As the Sous Chef it is necessary to exhibit exemplary leadership and communication skills whereas you will be the intermediary between the front and back of the house. The Sous Chef will also work with the management team to increase guest counts and sales.
