Title of Position: Staff Accountant
Job Description: Our Staff Accountant will provide support to our ownership team, managing our daily accounting operations. He/She will be part of a team working to keep our finances in line. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining & strengthening internal controls to ensure all business transactions are processed and recorded timely. This includes AP, AR, and Bank Deposit management for all of our restaurants. The Staff Accountant will assist in processing our financial statements, reviewing expenses, monitoring payroll records, and other assigned duties. Our Accountant will provide timely updates of financial data into our database to ensure information will be accurate and readily available. The Staff Accountant will work with the team on the preparation and submission of weekly/monthly reports, assisting accounting/finance teams in other accounting projects.
- 3-5 years of current Accounting Manager experience; restaurant/hospitality experience a huge plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA Credential a plus
- Knowledge of ADP Payroll System, Mas 90/Sage 100 software preferred
- Must be fluent with maintaining high-volume workbooks
- Ability to manage full cycle accounts receivable accounts and collections
- Outstanding work ethic and drive to succeed
- Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand issues and solve problems in a timely manner
- Comfortable working both independently and in team environments
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Marty started in the business very young and from the ground up. Dishwashing at the local diner was his way of financing his many travels. As a Boy Scout, Marty traveled to Japan, Israel and across the United States twice before the age of 17. Since then Marty has worked for Bennigan's, The Office and Charlie Brown's, TGI Friday's and Applebee's as a General Manager, Training General Manager and a District Manager. Marty also worked as a Food Service Manager for Genuardi Family Markets, a division of Safeway and was a guest speaker at the National Home Meal Replacement Seminar.
After many years on the road, Marty and his wife, Jill, settled in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where they are enjoying the life of empty nesters. Their son, Jacob, works for Marty and handles the states of Arkansas and Delaware. Daughter, Dayna, has joined as a recruiter assistant for Colorado.
Now that he has made his final career change Marty has much more time to devote to his many activities with synagogue and choir. He is a lifetime Red Cross Blood Donor (over 60 pints donated so far) and regularly volunteers his cooking skills for charitable events.
