Training Specialist, Guest experience 
$60K - $68K + 10% bonus

Reporting directly to the Director of operations, the Training Specialist, Guest experience will be responsible to manage all training programs for the restaurants, including eLearning. The Training Manager, Guest experience shows respect for the Brand team guests and the brand identity. The Training Manager consistently gives positive and constructive feedback to staff.

 Responsibilities
  • Managing all internal restaurant training programs, including online training modules
  • Manages in-store training for new restaurants openings (including renovated restaurants)
  • Oversees all training and development from restaurant manager through to restaurant staff positions and assists with the development of restaurant management team members, including District Managers
  • Trains, coaches and supports specific franchisees who have below average operational standards and/or unit economics
  • Provides Certified Employee Training and certification
  • Implements and adheres to Health and Safety policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Program
  • Oversees the execution of Train the Trainer
  • Manages all aspects of new franchisee training including training materials, training schedule, coordination of training location, completion of online training modules, inventory training and complete evaluation of franchisee’s training performance and areas requiring follow up from District Manager
  Profile
  • Minimum 2 -3 years supervisory experience in foodservice/hospitality industry; previous training experience is a definite asset
  • Post-Secondary education, in education or hospitality is an asset
  • Strong business acumen, including an understanding of budgets and operating costs
  • Understanding of fundamental training principles and adult learning techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and direct others
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadline
  • Understanding the restaurant culture and the ability to transfer this into behavior for all employees
  • Understands the restaurant guests across all day and night parts
  • Bilingual
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of the casual dining industry and restaurant operations
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel for extended periods of time
