VP of Finance Restaurant Group Las Vegas NV
Salary 150k to $175k

Gecko Hospitality is working with an established Restaurant group in Las Vegas NV. seeking a full time VP of Finance. This position plays a key role in the organization’s strategic financial decision-making and fiduciary responsibility. This position manages all aspects of financial risk; develops and implements financial systems; ensures compliance with regulatory and funder requirements; and leads an effective financial management infrastructure to ensure alignment between financial goals and strategic priorities, and the sustained financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities: VP of Finance Las Vegas , NV.
· Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with respect to organizational goals, budgets and forecasts, and provide analysis to ownership on a regular basis
· Create yearly financial objectives aligning with organization’s strategies and current and projected grant portfolio
· Develop annual revenue projections and organizational budget, monitor and make recommendations for adjustments throughout the year
· Communicate, engage and interact with the ownership on issues involving banks, lenders, investors, forecasting and non profit work
· Manage overall financial operations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory and funder requirements
· Oversee tax functions and ensure compliance with IRS regulations
· Coordinate audits with independent auditors and regulatory agencies
Qualifications: VP of Finance Las Vegas , NV.
· Strong commitment to vision, mission, and values of the property
· A bachelor’s or graduate degree/certification in Finance/Accounting; CPA/MBA preferred
· At least 3 years of experience as a financial manager required
· Detail orientation
· Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and ability to foster teamwork

Larry Friedkin has been the Gecko Hospitality Franchise partner for Maryland and Nevada since 2010.  Larry has over 35 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry. Starting out as a newspaper boy, he worked a variety of jobs building up to his first restaurant position as a busser at the age of 14. Larry continued in the hospitality industry through high school and college, starting with waiting tables and bartending and 12 years later, became a Multi-Unit General Manager. Joining Metromedia Restaurants in 1987, Larry spent nearly 15 years at Steak and Ale, the last 10 1/2 as an Area Director guiding 9 locations and being named Operators Director of the Year in 1998. In 2001, he joined O'Charley's Inc. as an Operations Director and opened up 5 locations during his nearly 9 year tenure.

Larry enjoys each and every day at Gecko, assisting others attain their professional goals. He is extremely grateful to partner with Gecko and plan to continue creating great relationships.

Larry has two great sons and enjoys camping, boating, biking, swimming and any outdoor activities – crazy about nature. He is also a devoted, lifelong Eagles fan.
