Title of Position: Vice President of Sales

Job Description: The primary responsibility of the Vice President of Sales is to lead and direct a sales team or department to meet or exceed sales revenue, sales profitability, and budgetary objectives. This role involves strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology and improving processes. The Vice President of Sales creates and executes the sales department go-to-market and operational strategies to achieve business objectives. The Vice President of Sales will direct and manage the sales department employees as well as hire, supervise, develop and mentor new sales directors. The Vice President of Sales is responsible for assisting with complex sales negotiations, attending sales presentations and helping close sales deals. The Vice President of Sales continually improves the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhances productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction. They will oversee and drive adoption of sales technology including customer relationship management (CRM) and a sales intranet.

Qualifications:
  • The Vice President of Sales must have proven performance in growing sales, training and developing employees, and successful property management
  • The Vice President of Sales must have a minimum of 5 years’ Multi-Unit Management experience
  • A solid track record in achieving financial results in the hotel industry is a must for the Vice President of Sales
  • The Vice President of Sales must be extremely guest oriented with the highest degree of honesty and integrity
  • The Vice President of Sales must have excellent organizational, planning, communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
